Raymond A. Low is an engineer, U.S. Navy veteran, educator, investigator, and author whose working life has taken him through some unexpected places. He has worked in electronics, police work, legal work, prison investigation, special education, construction, and engineering. He also holds a master’s degree in engineering and has written technical research on concrete reinforcement.

His interest in breathwork, cold exposure, meditation, and human resilience grew from both curiosity and personal experience. In his seventies, Raymond A. Low attended three Wim Hof Method seminars, where he experienced the breathing practices, cold exposure, meditation, and group training firsthand. Those experiences led him to ask more questions, do more research, and eventually write Iceman’s Legacy, a book that brings together history, science, and his own observations in a way everyday readers can understand.
